So, alas, after going to numerous McDonald’s, me and Josh have given up on the elusive Shamrock Shake. However, if you wish to make one on your own, you just need about 4 or 5 drops of mint extract, green food coloring, a regular Vanilla Shake from McDonald’s and good blender. Bleh… too much work… instead, I’ve opted to just go with the Mint Chocolate Shake at Carl’s Jr. as an alternative… SO EAT THAT RONALD MCDONALD! Not that he exists or would read this even if he did… but IF he did exist, I would seriously need to send some disgruntled Irish men to go break his knee caps because apparently (whether its an urban legend or not), the Shamrock Shake is offered year-round in Ireland. I’m just not sure if that’s racist or facist or whater-ist… it seems awfully wrong and stereotypical… I bet they also have McCornned Beef if that’s the case. What about McHaggis? Oh well…
Anyway, in keeping with the St. Patrick’s theme, I will next be telling about this wonderful green product known as Tea Tree Special Care Shampoo. It smells minty, and it makes your scalp feel like it’s on ice. You know the feeling you get when you take a deep breath after eating a cough drop, its that feeling except all over your head. Normally I’m too cheap to pay for shampoos with my haircuts or to buy the pricey shampoos they use at hair salons, but since it was on sale this weekend, I admit I bought myself a bottle and have been indulging myself. So sad that food and hair products seem to be the only things I can talk about concerning my weekend…
Well, I did see Zodiac on Saturday and that movie totally freaked me out all weekend. I’d recommend it as it was an enjoyable flick especially if you like scaring yourself.

It’s been a year now and finally, it’s almost March again. While others get excited over such insignificant annual events such as college basketball play-offs, the real March-lovers know the real reason to love this month is for St. Patrick’s day. It truely is something we can all enjoy. Half of my friends will get drunk, and the rest of us will gorge on McDonald’s Shamrock Shakes… Oh my those are GREAT. I’ve been itching to get one for monhts now (especially since they stopped making the Peppermint Shakes at Christmas). If you see a McDonald’s selling this elusive emerald treat, let me know. I’ll be there everyday, twice a day… or more…

So I think I’m FINALLY over my cold. That makes me very happy. It felt like forever… so today, on my day off, just as I was feeling better, I visit… DUM DUM DUUUUUUMMM…. the DENTIST! Actually, I saw the Dentist last week for x-rays and stuff. Today I went in to get cleaning and a few cavities filled. Just as it was a year ago, it is now time to resume where we left off last January fixing my incredibly jacked up teeth. Today, 3 of 9 cavities were filled. 2 more will be bound in two weeks and then possibly a crown on the 6th. We shall see how much insurance money I have left after that (and how much I actually have myself) and proceed from there. I will probably have a total of 6 crowns in my mouth by the end of the year. Yay! I’m like becoming a robot… with fake teeth… Anyway, my jaw still hurts. :(
Last night I watched the 24 premier (part 1) at Joe & Frances’ and tonight here at Kev’s. Woah, what a season opener. I will have to reschedule my gym nights to Tuesdays or something. Too good to miss…

So this past week has had its ups and downs…
UPS:
- New Years Eve at Bryan’s
- Eating out… a LOT
- Passing Twilight Princess (finally)
- Cooking dinner for the first time in a LONG time
DOWNS:
- Going back to work
- Getting some sort of sore throat sickness from my co-workers
- Being broke
I was a very happy spender this holiday season and given that a Wii (and all its accessories) is not a normal annual expense, it’s dug quite a hole in my pocket this holiday season. But now that I’ve passed Twilight Princess and the nephews are gone, I’m not as itching to play with the Wii so it’s back to my good old DS. Right now, I’m feeling so lazy and I haven’t been to the gym since Monday because of this cold thing I have. I’m contemplating going this evening but that depends if I feel any better after a nap.
This morning I woke up, finished off the napa soup I had made Thursday night for dinner and washed the dishes. It’s been nice having a sense of freedom around the condo now that Gorilla Man is gone. It’s been good getting to know the new roomie but I know I haven’t been as engaging because, well, i feel like crap and throwing up all the time. I have discovered through our TV viewing time together that he is apparently “one of those” type of people that love MTV (or MTV2?), Whatevers. Not my type of station, but defintely an improvement over Gorilla’s TV watching marathon like schedules and leaving 2 tvs on while blaring iTunes on his compy and taking a smoke outside while blabbing so loud on his cell that neighbors in Canada can hear his conversations… so am I glad he’s gone? Yes. Did I hate the guy? No. It was actually weird and strange the past few weeks (you know, with Kev evicting him and all), but he wasn’t a bad person per say. He just wasn’t someone I enjoyed living with or talking to. He did have a convenient Cuisinart food processor though which I will miss. Guess that’ll have to go on my Amazon wish-list then eh?
