I want this…

Ducktales Volume 2 DVD

So far they have 3 volumes and the order of all the episodes are screwed up. Ugh. But if anything, i want volume 2 most because it contains the pilot. i haven’t figured out which volume contains the Fire Fruit 5-part series, that would be the second collection I would buy. Also, if there was a way for me to delete all episodes containing Gizmo Duck or Bubba Duck, I would do that in a second…

So can you get me discounts on these Gimpy? :D

11th Annual Star Lounge CD

November 13th, 2007 by flakeboy

2007 Star Lounge Cover

While I have switched out Star in my car, my alarm clock is still set to Star (excuse me, I mean Ninety-eight Seven). Anyway, this morning I awoke to Lisa Fox announcing that the new Star Lounge CD was on sale at Best Buy or online. Taking a quick look at the artists being featured on this year’s compilation, I decided to pick up a copy of the CD (well, the collector part of me also wants it since I already own every previous Star Lounge CD).

So during my lunch break, I made a quick run to the Best Buy in El Segundo to discover they didn’t have any in stock. I returned to my office a bit miffed and looked up on Star’s website what the deal was an apparently, the Star lounge CD will only be made available at certain Best Buy locations. WTF? They didn’t announce that on the radio (well, at least not during the announcement I heard). Anyway, lucky for me, the Torrance store is one of the select locations so I went and picked up myself a copy after work. 2 trips to Best Buy… ugh… to think I used to actually enjoy going to Best Buy. Now I just dread going there, especially during the busy holidays.

So I’ve imported the CD into iTunes and I must say that unlike the past few years, this year’s CD is pretty solid. Since I’ve opted to not listen to Star regularly now, I can actually enjoy these songs without the feeling that they’ve been played to death. Also, none of the tracks this year suffer from artists who can’t perform live trying to perform live (ie Avril, Jewel, Evanescence, etc.).

If you’re a Lifehouse, Maroon 5, or Keane fan, you’ll need to get this CD. Even the bonus track from the RockStar 987 contest’s track is worth the purchase price. I have a feeling this album (minus tracks 10 and 12), will be on heavy rotation in my iPod for the next few weeks.

PRIMO SUPREMO CARDIACO ARRESTO

November 7th, 2007 by flakeboy

So… in my typical fashion, I see a TV ad for a good looking pizza… and of course I need to try it… even if I have to do it alone… and thus I did… I tackled Round Table’s new Primo Supremo pizza all by myself.
Primo Supremo

Some would call me crazy, and some would call me a slob… and both would be fair assessments. But really, how could I resist a pizza that is all pepperoni through and through, even in the crust!? I say to you all bored internet surfers, I am only human… and the Pizza Knight made me do it (he’s even in the picture I snagged off of Round Table’s website). All 12 slices of 390 calories per slice goodness. Maybe that why I feel like having a heart attack tonight… Ugh…

Wake me up when November ends…

November 5th, 2007 by flakeboy

So I’ve been in my usual rut and was thinking the other day about long-time television shows. In most cases, long running TV shows will under go cast changes and people will variably argue about which cast memebers they liked the best and which ones killed the show. I shared this next bit of insight with Bruce yesterday… I feel like my life is very much like a long-running TV series except that it has now undergone so many cast changes and lame story arcs that it now just sucks. If I were a TV show, they’d cancel me or take the last character people like and make a spin-off. Ugh. I need to jump a shark.

To keep my mind off of my current life situation, I have my good old DS by my side. I’ve been playing these games concurrently with one another and have a stack in my queue awaiting to be played. This is something that hasn’t happened in quite a while, but I guess its that tim eof the year when publishers push all their good games out at once… and I’m playing catch-up.

I’m about 80% through Tingle’s Rupeeland (which is an excellent game) and at the 3rd temple in Phantom Hourglass. I’m on the second case for Phoenix Wright 3 and Zack and Wiki is waiting next to my Wii to be played. In the mail, I have Mario Galaxy and Umbrella Chronicles coming next week. I’m thinking I should have taken a few days off this month instead of last just to get through these time-killing games. If you have a DS or a Wii, you ought to pick up some of these titles. If you have a 360, you need to get Beautiful Katamari and invite me over. If you have a PSP, you need to loan it to me alaong with Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions. Finally, if you have a PS3… hmmm… uh… well… have fun watching your Blu-Ray movies!
