Last night, I was so tired, i checked out around 9 PM or so. Before going to bed though. I had received a voicemail from Enoch telling me that he was taking Karen to the hospital. I relayed the message and passed out. This morning, I was greeted with fresh emails informing that my 3rd nephew was born around 12:30 Eastern time (right after I went to bed basically). So yes, Liao kiddo number 3 is here and just like me, his name doesn’t begin with a vowel. What’s his name, you’ll have to ask E or K for the time being. They don’t want us spilling those beans just yet. =)

It’s 9 on Friday morning and I’m about to leave for work, but I thought I’d just check my email really quickly regardless. While I’m here, I might as well slam out a 5 second blog about my trip. Went to the Bahamas with 6 other friends last week. Went snorkeling, ate gluttonously, and lost money at the casino. Pretty much like most trips I take except for the snorkeling… and the getting sunburnt.

Monday will be my first official day in the El Segundo office. If you’re in the area, I’ll be in the “Trammell Crow Company” office suite just above PF Changs on Rosecrans. I’m wondering when they’ll change it to say CBRE but I don’t really care. It’s just easier to tell people the building says TCC or else they’ll be looking for CBRE. If you work in the area, lets get McCormicks happy hour… every day!

I rue those three names. On Monday, I had the Andes Milk shake at Jack in the Box and it was sooooo good. So good in fact, it made me almost forget about how McDonald’s showed Southern California no love this year with their absent Shamrock Shake. If you get a chance to try one of these babies, it’s like a bajillion times better than the Mint Chip shake at Carl’s.

but the real point of this post is to say… I feel like a pig. I got home and was going to eat a light dinner but since I hadn’t really ate anything all day, I decided to have a little Ben & Jerry’s after my not-so-filling meal of beef brisket and steamed broccoli. I opened a brand new pint of Mint Cookie and sat down to watch American Idol with Kev… 15 minutes later… I had eaten the entire container! Wow. Just like high school except unlike high school, I felt gross and guilty as well as strangely satisfied. I then proceeded to go tot he gym to try to undo some of the damage. Ugh. Why do I love ice cream so much?

Tomorrow night I leave for Florida and the Bahamas with the Yangs, Gimps and Schoens… I hear there’s a Ben and Jerry’s stand aboard the ship… which I’m guessing is included in the cost of the trip… someone better help keep me away from the ice cream stand or else I might never leave it…
